The Future: Innovative Architecture

Registration for the 2020 Iconic Awards is now open, and it promises to bring together the best architectural achievements worldwide. This award is about visionary architecture and innovative design, and we want to see the UK leading on the international stage. If you work in architecture, interior architecture, product design and brand communication, and you’re bringing something interesting to the industry, this competition is for you. Let’s make 2020 the year that our capital and creative cities are on the map, and let’s set the precedent for the next decade of British Architecture.

The Awards: A Brief Summary

This competition is not for the faint hearted. The council states that, ‘it promotes interdisciplinary dialogue, and communicates the importance of architecture and design to an international public. It recognises those who provide fresh inspiration with visionary force.’ This welcomes a nice balance of inclusivity and opportunity within the industry. Creative participants include architects, interior designers, engineers, specialist planners, agencies and design studios; leaders in construction, real estate and housing developers are also eligible, as well as manufacturers of materials, building technology, fittings, plumbing and bathroom products.

The Benefits: A Global Network

These awards bring more than prizes. As an interface between designers and the construction industry, the recognition of contemporary developments and creative achievements are only the start. These awards bring together a global community of agencies, architects and designers, and this unique network cherishes industry achievements like no other.

The Iconic Awards: Innovative Architecture competition provides architects, planners and their partners in the industrial, design and brand communications sectors with an international platform. And because of the competition’s cross-sectoral networking and media presence, innovative developments are made visible to experts and to the general public alike. The prospect of exposure on such an esteemed international stage is exciting, and we are ready to see the UK recognised for our latest architectural achievements.

The Awards: And International Recognition

The Iconic Awards will naturally attract international attention, and the chosen venue, the Pinakothek der Moderne, is an architectural talking point in itself. Housing ‘four significant museum collections under one roof, the Pinakothek der Moderne is one of the world’s largest spaces for the art, architecture, and design of the 20th and 21st centuries.’ In October 2020, the venue will host esteemed architectural contributors; prizes will be presented to the Best of Best, Architects of the Year and Interior Designers of the Year.

The Collaboration: A Harmony Of Design And Products

Exceptional design calls for exceptional products. And at UK Brick, we believe that the construction materials we choose should not only create or enhance an aesthetic, they should help to define a building. Our bricks are reserved for extra special projects, and we are proud to team up with leading architectural firms and design teams across the UK.

Our vision is simple. We’re here to support architects and designers, and to put London at the forefront of the international architectural scene. We are helping UK based architects and interior designers realise their visions, and get noticed worldwide. Our waterstruck and Linear bricks are putting the UK on the architecture map fast, so if you have an impressive project lined up, we’d love to talk.
